Three Common Key Elements for Laying Composite Geomembranes
1. Before laying a composite geomembrane, corresponding qualified acceptance documents from civil engineering should be obtained. Before cutting the composite geomembrane, the relevant dimensions should be accurately measured, and then cut according to the actual measurements. Generally, it is not advisable to cut strictly according to the dimensions shown in the drawings. Each piece should be numbered, and detailed records should be kept in a dedicated form.
2. When laying the composite geomembrane, efforts should be made to minimize seams, save raw materials as much as possible while ensuring quality, and also facilitate quality control.
3. The overlap width of seams between membranes should generally not be less than 10 cm. Typically, the seams are arranged parallel to the major slope, that is, along the direction of the slope.
